Here are the results of the above competition, some truly talented work. The winning entries and all the exhibits are displayed below

So that all volunteers were free to enter judging was done by the lovely ladies who run the West End House Art  Gallery in Smarden, who are both artist in their own right. They were delighted to be asked and have also generously offered a prize for the winning exhibit.

And the winner is ——

Kaara’s sketch of a bonded pair. A beautiful drawing of two rescued lurchers awaiting rehoming together.

2nd place Stella’s weaving on a rigid Heddle Loom

3rd place Stella’s cold porcelain flower making

Here are the comments received from our judges:

Thank you so much for sending the work for the competition.  We decided to pick first, second and third places overall, so here are our winners…
1st Place: Exhibitor 8 in drawing/sketching category… A Bonded Pair of Rescued Dogs
2nd Place: Exhibitor 3 in craft category…  Two pieces of weaving done on Rigid Heddle Loom (using sheeps wool)
3rd Place: Exhibitor 3 in pottery category… Cold porcelain flower making
Congratulations to everyone that entered the competition.  We really enjoyed looking at everything and we can see the hard work that has gone into each piece resulting in some truly talented work. A lovely lockdown project.
We have a card and a £25 gift voucher for the winner to spend at the gallery.
